Silvia works in research, design and media for development with a focus on sustainability, education, and environmental conservation. She currently manages B Lab’s online platform for B Corps and works on empowering a community that can leverage business as a force for good. Her work in social innovation includes course design and impact evaluation for Acumen, consultancies for Patagonia on communications, Conservation International on business models, and the Oakland International High School on education for migrants. Prior to this work, she produced educational media projects for the BBC and UNFPA. Additionally, she was the co-founder of Nomada Camp, a glamping hotel with high social impact and low environmental footprint. She has traveled extensively and lived in the US, UK, Ghana, Indonesia, and Colombia. Silvia studied Cultural and Media Studies at the New School for Social Research, Photography at Parsons School of Design, and graduated from the Masters of Development Practice at UC Berkeley.
