Pablo's Hippos tells the absurd and paradoxical story of Colombia's thirty-year struggle with the drug trade, at once a farce and a tragedy, as seen through the eyes of the extravagant pet of the most powerful drug baron in history: a hippo named Pepe.
My role
Associate Producer: produced shoots and shot still photography in Colombia, did extensive archive research in 10+ sources internationally, assisted film editor in the UK, coordinated subtitles and film translation, applied to festivals and managed film launch in 2011.

Revela2 is a multimedia platform for adolescents that aims to facilitate dialogue and critical reflection about sexual and reproductive rights and contribute to transforming behaviors, socio-cultural norms and practices. There are three main components to the series: a fiction narrative, documentary shorts and interactive hangouts with popular performers.
My role
Director Non-Fiction: Trained by edutainment expert Martine Bouman, contributed to design of series and media platform, reviewed scripts for fiction narrative and directed documentaries for non-fiction component.

Margarita Martínez is a renowned filmmaker who has directed documentaries about sociopolitical struggles in Colombia from a variety of perspectives including that of urban paramilitaries, indigenous groups struggling for land, Afro-colombian musicians, war journalists, youth political movements and most recently the peace agreement negotiators.
