Pablo's Hippos tells the absurd and paradoxical story of Colombia's thirty-year struggle with the drug trade, at once a farce and a tragedy, as seen through the eyes of the extravagant pet of the most powerful drug baron in history: a hippo named Pepe.
My role
Associate Producer: produced shoots and shot still photography in Colombia, did extensive archive research in 10+ sources internationally, assisted film editor in the UK, coordinated subtitles and film translation, applied to festivals and managed film launch in 2011.
For Territories Empowering Latin America
DISRUPTION explores the idea of eradicating poverty by empowering women on government assistance programs in Colombia, Peru and Brazil. Women share stories on how economic empowerment led them to become political figures, entrepreneurs, and peer-educators, and Fundación Capital tries to scale the model collaborating with governments and big banks.
My role:
Archive Researcher: sourced archive material of the sociopolitical history of poverty in Colombia during the past 100 years. Production Assistant and still photographer in Cartagena shoot.

Revela2 is a multimedia platform for adolescents that aims to facilitate dialogue and critical reflection about sexual and reproductive rights and contribute to transforming behaviors, socio-cultural norms and practices. There are three main components to the series: a fiction narrative, documentary shorts and interactive hangouts with popular performers.
My role
Director Non-Fiction: Trained by edutainment expert Martine Bouman, contributed to design of series and media platform, reviewed scripts for fiction narrative and directed documentaries for non-fiction component.

Aquele Beijo (That Kiss) is a Brazilian prime time soap opera made by Globo TV in 2011. The first eight episodes were shot in Cartagena, Colombia in partnership with 11:11 Films. It's a romantic comedy of an architect who has a complicated relationship and suddenly falls in love with a man she meets at the airport; he is in Cartagena to propose to someone else.
My role:
Art Producer: manage budget for art department, manage locations permits, support makeup, costume and scenic teams, recruit and manage stand-ins off-stage.

Margarita Martínez is a renowned filmmaker who has directed documentaries about sociopolitical struggles in Colombia from a variety of perspectives including that of urban paramilitaries, indigenous groups struggling for land, Afro-colombian musicians, war journalists, youth political movements and most recently the peace agreement negotiators.
My role
Associate Producer and Director of Photography for Semana25, Second Unit Director and Camera for Piano of the Jungle, Festival Applications for Antanas' Way and Production Assistant for Stolen Land.

Caracol TV is one of the two major TV stations in Colombia. They produce newscasts, series, soap operas, reality shows, other contests, and broadcast internationally.
